Our final fair of the summer is in Washington County this week. Much of Matt's family, including his grandparents and parents, are from Salem so this week was a bit of a coming home. We've enjoyed the hospitality of everyone in Washington County and thank them for such a wonderful experience. Much like at the Lawrence County fair, we met another Colglazier family that we didn't know before the campaign. They are originally from the Salem area, but now live in South Bend. Earl and Nancy came back to Washington County with their business and served up the best elephant ears we've had all summer. We captured a great picture this evening with them.

One of the greatest parts about this campaign is the opportunity to meet new people and discover connections. This week at the Lawrence County Fair we met another Colglazier family who we didn't know before. Even better, Mr. Colglazier helped start the Lawrence County Fairgrounds nearly 50 years ago. Matt had a chance to visit with him and it seems the fairgrounds have come a long way since those times. We have some great pictures from the past few days posted below.

Happy 4th of July! We had a great group of friends, family and volunteers for the Limestone Heritage Festival Parade in Bedford today. We had a classic Mustang as part of the entry and the kids along the route seemed to love the car as much as the candy! Thanks to everyone who came out for the festivities and those who worked so hard to make the event possible. We hope you have a relaxing holiday with family and friends.
